Terms & Conditions

  1. To secure a place on a course booking is confirmed on payment, and payment is an acceptance of the terms and conditions.
  2. Deposits where applicable 20% unless otherwise indicated on the course booking page are non-refundable.
  3. Change dates – only if we can fill your place and a request is made at least 8 weeks prior to course start date.
  4. Cancellations – we will refund less 20% if we are able to fill your place and are notified 8 weeks prior to course start date.
  5. The balance of the course fee where applicable, must be paid at least 8 weeks before the agreed start date of the course. Non payment of balance by due date will void your place and your deposit will not be refunded.
  6. If booking a place within 8 weeks of the start date the course fee must be paid in full at the time of booking. This is non-refundable.
  7. Course fees cover tuition, registration, use of workshop tools, safety equipment manuals. Own frame tubing and/or components for own bikes are not included payment due at the end of the course.
  8. Frame Courses – we will make every effort to accommodate requests for specific material choices. We reserve the right to substitute material of an equal or superior specification, if the original choice is not available.
  9. The material cost will be calculated after a frame design has been agreed. Any variation in the agreed material specification, or requirement for additional materials, must be paid for before the end of the course.
  10. Every effort will be made to ensure that course participants produce frames of a competant and safe standard. These frames are not covered by any warranty and are ridden at customers own risk.
  11. Every effort will be made to ensure that course participants repair, build or service their own bikes and components to a competant standard. Work is not covered by any warranty and is at customers own risk.
  12. Security – There are lockers inside for personal items and bike sheds for dry storing own bikes. You need to bring your own bike locks. Security lights on motion sensors operate at night on the buildings. You are responsible for the insurance of your personal belongings.Downland Cycles no not accept liability or responsibility for any damage, theft or loss of your personal belongings.
  13.  Conduct – No alcohol to be consumed during working time. Any person considered to be intoxicated will be asked to leave and will not be permitted to enter the workshops or complete the course. We will be courteous at all times and will not accept rudeness, foul language or abusive behaviour towards any staff or other persons at Downland Cycles.
