British frame building has a long and proud heritage and Bryan and Julie set the highest standards in teaching hobby and aspiring commercial frame builders alike in order to continue this proud legacy.

Bryan is a skilled frame builder with his Invicta brand making custom steel frames in Kent.

In essence Bryan maintains the core key skills of the artisan frame builder in his practice and teaching; that of the truly hand built cycle frame

Stay in our bunk house in quiet and beautiful surroundings, you can then immerse yourself in the course. Workshops are open in the evening for those that want to get more filing practice.
You will be fed well and the local beer and riding is excellent too.

We have a range of courses for you with a development programme for aspiring commercial builders and for those who simply want to return and build frame number 2 or 3... for themselves, after all you can never have too many bikes..... right?

We run 2 frame building courses on a monthly basis. These tend to fill up 3-5 months in advance, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Fork Building
We offer a 1 day fork building course for students who wish to add a lugged fork to their frame.
You can come back at any time and complete your forks or add it onto the end of 6 day course.

What you can build.
On the course you can build your own steel frame road, track, trekking, cyclo-cross, expedition or hard tail mountain bike frames. We teach you to build in steel and we offer a choice of Reynolds and Columbus tube sets. (You can't build in Reynolds 953).Tandems, Recumbents, BMX and Trikes are beyond the scope of the 5 day course. The frames will be constructed either using lugs or using a fillet brazing technique.
