    Dear Julie and Bryan,
I wanted to express my profound thanks for all that I got from my course; yummy food and hospitality, and for the filing more rod and TOO CLOSE. And finally to say how thrilled I am with the frame.
    Kind regards, Charlie.

Dear Simon, Julie has asked me to send you an email about my experience of staying on site. And so here it is.

I live in London and decided that I didn’t want to spend my time in a car on the motorway. I also had no particular desire to be driving around the Kent countryside in search of a bed. I’ve spent many nights in Bothies and Youth Hostels, so the offer of a bunk on site was welcome.

The accommodation is very comfortable in all respects. The beds are absolutely fine, as is the shower and the loo. The ‘living/dining room is also fine. The food is excellent and there was plenty of it.

Willem and I both had our bikes. Every evening Brian worked out a route that ended up in a pub just a mile or so from ‘home’. The countryside is breathtaking and came as a real surprise. The local ale is delicious and a nice meal out can also be had. My week away was a real treat both in the workshop and in the bunkhouse, and in such beautiful countryside. I was loath to leave, and look forward to returning for my second week.
I hope that this helps. Kind regards, Charlie Merivale.

Julie, just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all for such a great week I just spent with you. It was way more than I thought it was going to be. Really educationally and hard work in equal measure. I have a new found respect for craftsmen in steel. Pass on my thanks to Bryan Martyn for all their patience and hard work. And thank you for all the delicious cake!

I have finished the Frame, and just finished building it up now – ready for its first race tomorrow (St Patricks Day)
I went with a Columbus Minimal fork to save weight (50mm Rake)
    Nice 20mm Veloflex tyres.
Thanks for all your help – see you after the season for my next one I’ll be coming back for a faster race bike!

So to sum up I will simply say – high standards, generosity and for me… a life changing experience! Thank you Bryan and Julie.

    Dear Julie and Brian
I’d just like to thank you all for an excellent 2 weeks. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and got a lot out of it which will be useful in my part time job at the bike shop. Hopefully I can get down to do some of your other courses in the not too distant future. Give a big hug to Obie for me.
    Kind regards. Vince
