The course is 15 days on site plus 4 days self directed written assignments on completion.
Learn everything you need to set up as a professional cycle mechanic, in your own business or within the cycle industry.
Starting with comprehensive general cycle mechanics, legislation and customer service, we then lead onto advanced wheel building, problem solving, mechanic assessments, hydraulic disc brake servicing, suspension system servicing, suspension design and setup, factory wheel servicing, hub gear servicing, Shimano and Campagnolo electronic groupsets and electric bikes.
Assessment is by practical tasks and observation with written knowledge assignments - some research and work outside course structure required.
The level 3 VRQ is the highest qualification in the cycle industry, a national professional accreditation that is also internationally recognised.
Once qualified, we continue to support you by email, phone or workshop support and supplies at special trade prices for those setting up business. We will advise on your full professional workshop tools and equipment, trade prices, industry accounts and advice on what is needed. Having set up our own bike retail, repairs, hire and events company 20 years ago we know the pitfalls and also many people in the cycle trade.
Course times are 9am-5.30pm and 7-9.30pm for those staying on site.
